Blake Collins is an American-British indie rock musician and singer-songwriter. With his poetic lyrics, impassioned vocals, and entrancing performance, his work is often compared to bands like The Beatles, The Kinks and The Beach Boys, as well as solo artists like Emitt Rhodes and Harry Nilsson. He writes his music from an intimate and personal perspective, crafting engaging narratives with catchy melodies, lush harmonies and memorable hooks to achieve pop perfection that speaks to universal emotion and experience.

On 6th March, 2021, Blake Collins performed a brief, live acoustic set for U.K.'s In Your Ears Music Radio Station and Blog in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support. According to Collins, 'It’s always a pleasure and an honor to contribute meaningfully (and musically!) to something greater.' 'I'm Not Gonna Take It Anymore' is Blake Collins’ third single from his forthcoming full-length album, 'There's Nowhere Like Here.' This song nestles you in the musical backdrop of high-energy drums, bitingly groovy piano and reverb-soaked guitar stabs. The call-and-response vocal arrangements recall pop hits of the 1960s and the layered harmonies that kick the choruses into high power-pop gear firmly anchor the song in Collins’ own brand of rock and roll.

'A Bell Locks In,' Blake Collins' 5-song debut E.P., beautifully melds old-school Rock & Roll attitude that boasts the same sensibility and bravery of The Beatles and The Kinks with organic, timeless, DIY dream-pop aesthetic, like Emitt Rhodes, The Shins and Elliott Smith. Collins' breadth as a songwriter and musician are on full display in the pastiche instrumentation here, which includes traditional rock elements such as electric guitars, bass, piano and drums, alongside less conventional instruments like the chord organ, mellotron and ukulele. A velvety and haunting string arrangement on the E.P.'s center-piece puts the cherry on top. The result: a pop record that is at once familiar, yet refreshingly unique and unfolding in its intricacies.
‘It’s Summer Time,’ is the breakout single from Blake Collins’ debut E.P., ‘A Bell Locks In.’ A firm fan-favorite, it is a hot, dry summer made audible. The song features the ukulele as its main rhythm instrument and is accompanied by other mostly acoustic (as well as breath- , hand- , and wind-powered) elements, like bongos, finger snaps, acoustic bass, glockenspiel and wind chime bells, to achieve a sparse yet succinct arrangement that is reminiscent of Paul McCartney’s ‘RAM.’
